I actually took classes at the Academy of Art when I was in high school, but that was before I realized for profit colleges were a scam. Even though I can't tell you anything about photography, I can actually say that I learned something - don't gossip. My advertising professor told us that the quickest way to end your career is to gossip. That's a gold nugget there. Did my mom really need to pay several thousand dollars for me to learn that lesson? Probably not because I'm sure my prefrontal cortex would have developed by young adulthood. Well, I'm almost 100% sure.
A couple co-workers and I were chit chatting and I let a piece of gossip slip out, and E quickly reprimanded me. I was initially annoyed that she was listening to our conversation, but I can't fault her for that because we were in a public area. I love gossip (hence my secret and shameful obsession with The Real Housewives franchise), even though I know it contributes to a vicious office environment. I've actually been working on not gossiping for a year, and I've utterly failed. I think I just need to vent about work, but sometimes my boyfriend just doesn't want to listen to that bullshit, so from now on, I'm going to post the excrement of my daily grind here.
